IRTC: Immigrants Responding to Crisis
IRTC is a group of immigrant community volunteers committed to helping fellow community members in need, regardless of immigration status.
Immigrants Responding to CRISIS (IRTC)
Comprised of volunteers from the community, IRTC plays a vital role in helping residents to receive the support they need during times of crisis, including COVID-19, Hurricane Sandy, police or gang-related shootings, volunteer emergency services, and more. IRTC was conceived in 2007 and is not just crisis support. Throughout the year, IRTC often works in collaboration with Department of Homeland Security (USCIS) Officials to provide immigration seminars and access to financial, legal, housing, and other resources to community residents, many of whom are undocumented immigrants. Ultimately, IRTC aims to ensure that every resident is empowered to be a positive contribution to society.
